One Man Gathers What Another Man Spills
One of my early shows....Went with a good friend, his wife, and my brother. It was my friend's 1st and possibly his only show. Wonderful seats. Very sedate, but comfortable evening. During He's Gone, I looked down the row to my friend, as he sat with his head back, feet up on the rail snoring! What can I say...a good and comfortable time was had by all.

This is a pretty good one - same quality as the great Mississippi show (I think the same guy taped much of this little southern run), which is to say, pretty good! Also setlist similarities to that one. Kind of mellow crowd for a Sat night. The Jed is an obvious highlight; the Lazy>Supp and the Sc>Fi might not reach the heights of the ones a few days later, but there is some nice playing for sure. The He's Gone is certainly the standout of the set, as is the 14 minute Other One. I was just real curious how the Dead took it to Music City USA! 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
